Buyers are demanding a mobile version of their small business software, according to new GetApp research. More than 90% of small business owners and managers polled place importance on the availability of a mobile app so that they can use their software on the go.

More than one third of respondents (36%) go as far as to say that a mobile application is a “very important” consideration when they are choosing business software. A further 27% deem it to be “important”.

Less than 10% of those paneled admit that mobile apps for small business are not an important factor to them, while less than a third say it’s only “moderately important” or “slightly important”.


Key findings:

  • More than a third of businesses (36%) say that the availability of a mobile app is a “very important” consideration when choosing a business software.
  • 63% of respondents rate mobile app capabilities as either “important” or “very important” when selecting software.
  • Only 8.8% of small business owners and managers say that a mobile app is not important to have in a business software.

Demographics: Over 500 US-based respondents from a panel of SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses). Respondents are aged between 25 and 54 and have an average inferred annual income of $24k – $150k. This research was devised in collaboration with Pulseway.
