As more and more people have turned to social media to share their views and insights, there is a deluge of data out there, which makes it difficult to those who offer real and valuable insights.

Below is a list of 20 CRM experts on Twitter who we believe are the top thought leaders on CRM. Some of them are veterans while others are simply enthusiasts who love sharing their views and insights through Twitter and other social media channels.

The factors considered for compiling this list include the Twitter activity of these influencers (including retweets and replies), the number of followers, and the page rank of their Twitter profile.

Paul Greenberg

Paul Greenberg is frequently referred to as the ‘Godfather of CRM’ and the father of social CRM, a passion which is reflected in his tweets.

As a managing principal of customer service strategy advisory firm The 56 Group, Greenberg is also the author of best-selling book ‘CRM at the Speed of Light,’ and a blogger at PGreenblog and ZDNet’s Social CRM: The Conversation.


Bob Thompson

As founder of the world’s largest customer-centric business community CustomerThink, Bob Thompson is well known for being the global evangelist for customer-centric business. In addition to being editor-in-chief of, he is also a popular international keynote speaker and blogger.

Bob has also authored ‘Hooked On Customers: The Five Habits of Legendary Customer-Centric Companies. He regularly tweets on topics and news related to CRM, CEM, and social business.


Larry Lentz

As founder of Lentz Computer Services, Larry Lentz is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Dynamics CRM, a Microsoft certified trainer (MCT), and Microsoft Small Business Server specialist.
